This
was the June companion visit by Ron and Sylvia to the May visit by
Andrew and Carolyn, a visit so that David, who could no longer travel
distances, could see his Uncle Ron and Aunt Sylvia. As with the
previous month's visit, we enjoyed our company, and Rebecca and Michael
also spent much time with us as well.
Ron and I talked photography
a lot, as we always do, and the season was such that we spent most of
the time in the back yard, cooking out and just enjoying the mild
season. David had just returned from summer
camp,
and frankly he seemed happy to be back, so he enjoyed being with
relatives rather than with strangers, and this was the last time we sent
him to camp.
This trip was the last time that either Ron and Sylvia or Andrew and
Carolyn have been able to visit Virginia. Since then, we've
adopted the model of rendezvousing at a common location for a collective
vacation, an approach we seem to enjoy more. It's been difficult
to pull off on a regular basis, however, given people's work schedule
and that of our offsprings.
